Dr. Fixit Corner Joint Tape is a specially coated 3-ply elastic tape with high extension in cross direction and rigidlengthwise, thin, high tenacity system component which when used in combination with Dr. Fixit® waterproofingproducts reduces the risk of leaks through potential cracking locations at wall corners, floor-to-wall connections,pipe entries etc.Areas of ApplicationWaterproofing flashing tape used in combination with Dr. Fixit® waterproofing products for reducing the risk ofleakage at locations at high risk to cracking recommended for:} Residential or commercial wet rooms, kitchen & laundry areas.} Swimming pools and water retaining structures in combination with ceramic coverings.} Balconies and terraces.} Interior and exterior use.Features and Benefits} Specially rubber coated 3-ply Fleece-lined tape.} Good Crack bridging, accommodating any cracks in the substrate formed at a later stage.} Impermeable to Water.} Can be used both indoors and outdoors.} Excellent adhesion to all the waterproofing products.} Resistant to chemicals, can be used in chlorinated swimming pools.Method of Application1 GENERAL SURFACE PREPARATION} Surface must be clean, dry and in sound condition to ensure adequate adhesion.} Remove all oil, grease, dust, loose particles, and other foreign material.} Fill all cracks, voids and bug-holes with an appropriate Crack Filler. Any surface defects should be repaired priorto application of membrane.} Grind the, smooth finishing of wall and slab and make it rough to receive the coating.2 TAPE APPLICATION:} Cut to the appropriate size Dr. Fixit Corner Joint Tape using scissors or a razor knife.} Embed Dr. Fixit Corner Joint Tape into the 1st layer of the wet Dr. Fixit® waterproofing product using a brush,roller, smoothing trowel, or spatula. The tape is placed upto 60mm on vertical and on horizontal surface of thecorner joint. The applied tape should be ensured to be free from any crease.} Overlaps must be ≥ 50 mm. On top of the cured and hardened 1st layer and tape, apply a 2nd layer of the Dr.Fixit® waterproofing product. The waterproof coating should be extended min.20mm beyond the tape width.Cure it appropriately and continue the waterproof coating on the entire area as recommended in the productdatasheet.} The inner and outer corners areas require special care and recommend proper dressing with Joint Tape.} For pipes, use Dr. Fixit Pipe collar with minimum 4 mm of the stretchable part in contact with the pipe surface.Embed the collar with the Dr. Fixit® waterproofing product as explained earlier.} Make sure the tape and collar are fully covered when applying the waterproofing
