Waterproofing of different areas of building can be carried out after inspecting it closely for soundness test and if the surface is ready to take the appropriate waterproofing system. Terrace waterproofing- The economical way to protect it from ingress of rainwater, polymer and cement is mixed together to achieve paintable slurry which seals the porosity of the surface and acts as a waterproof barrier. Two to three coats are applied with brush on leaky surfaces which act as a waterproof paint.

Elastomeric Cementitious waterproof slurry is another improved system for underlayment treatment for treating leaky concrete surfaces. It is then covered by layer of mortar to protect it by wear & tear.

Acrylic based flexible single component terrace waterproof coatings are also available from various manufacturers. These coatings although more expensive have a better life span of about 3-4 years depending on the condition of the building structure.

New modern system for waterproofing of roofs, consist of bitumen modified fiberglass reinforced torchable membranes. Other variety of membrane are made from EPDM, PVC etc.

Black Polyurethane Waterproofing Compound
DESCRIPTION TAR O THANE 2 is a two component, high quality purified coal tar and polyurethane polymer based ideal waterproofing compound. It stops leakages through porous substrates and lasts for longer period than plain bituminous compounds. It is easy to apply and economical than multilayer bituminous felts. After curing, it forms an impervious, tough, waterproof and weather durable membrane. Though black in colour, it does not melt like bitumen due to the sun heat. Unlike tar which needs to be applied year after year, Tar O thane 2 lasts for longer. Once applied, one need not worry about leakages for years to come.

PRIMER COATING FOR FUTURA 5 & WALLNUT
DESCRIPTION FUTURA SEALER is especially clear coating which acts as primer coat for Futura-5 and Wall nut or for any Elastomeric acrylic coating. FEATURES / ADVANTAGES  Fills the surface hairline cracks.  Easily applicable by brush.  It remains unaffected by UV rays.  Enhances bonding with substrate and the topcoat.  It can also used alone as a waterproof coating when applied two or three coats but always better to apply Futura 5 on it. TYPICAL APPLICATIONS To be applied over concrete surfaces.
TYPICAL CHARACTERISTICS  Nature : single component, liquid  Color : Turbid white becomes clear after drying.  Specific gravity at 30°C : 1.00 ± 0.02  Viscosity on ford cup B4 : 15 – 20 sec  Inter-coat interval : 1 – 2 Hrs.  Coverage : 80-100 sq.ft./coat/ltr. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Clean the surface with brush and ensure no loose particle remains on substrate. On a clean and dry substrate apply it with the help of brush. Allow it to dry for 1-2 Hrs then apply second coat and after 24Hrs apply Futura-5 coat. CLEANING OF TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT Tools and equipment can be easily cleaned with water. If it dries, it should be scrapped off. STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE In order to preserve all the properties, store the material in the original unopened containers in cool and dry place. Shelf life is Two years.

HEALTH & SAFETY Plug leak is blend of cement, fast set powder and modifiers. Prolonged contact with skin should be avoided. Any splashes should be washed well with water. The use of rubber gloves and safety glasses is recommended. Any splashes on eyes should be flushed immediately with plenty of clean water and medical treatment sought

WATER THINNABLE EPOXY COATING
DESCRIPTION TECHOXY-3 is a two component epoxy resin based waterproofing compound. One part consists of epoxy resin and the other part of curing agent. After mixing both the parts, it can be thinned down with water. It possesses all the attributes of normal solvent based epoxy compositions such as excellent water and chemical resistance, adhesion, hardness, toughness and mechanical strength. One of the major advantages of Techoxy-3 over solvent based epoxy is that it can be applied on damp surface also. Being free from solvents, it does not pose any health hazard to the applicator.
