SUBSTRATE PREPARATION New concrete should be cured for at least 28 days and should have a pull off strength ≥1.5 N/mm2. Cementitious or Mineral based substrates must be prepared mechanically using wire brush, grinder, abrasive blast cleaning or scarifying equipment to remove cement laitance and to achieve an open textured surface. Loose friable material and weak concrete must be completely removed and surface defects such as blowholes and voids must be fully exposed. Use Sikadur® or SikaLatex® or SikaMonotop® range of repair materials for filling in potholes, voids or cracks on the substratesMIXING Sika® WP Shield Primer is a ready to use product. Dilution is sometimes permissible but strictly as per the advice of Sika® Technical Service in case the product is not of brushable consistency due to site and weather conditions. Stir the contents well before application. LIMITATIONS The primer may become high viscous due to change in ambient conditions like temperature and humidity that might affect the consistency and increase consumption of the primer. Under such situation, a site modification by slightly diluting the primer as per the advice of the Sika® Technical Service may be necessary to achieve the desired application consistency. The dilution is to be fixed on the basis of site trials but not to exceed 10% by weight of the primer

The Dekguard E2000 system comprises a single component penetrating silane-siloxane primer and a single component elastomeric pigmented coating, both ready for immediate site use. The film-forming, stabilising primer (Nitoprime DG) is supplied as a clear liquid and is based on an acrylic resin and a silanesiloxane dissolved in a penetrating organic carrier. The primer is reactive and capable of producing a chemically-bound hydrophobic barrier, thus inhibiting the passage of water and water-borne contaminants. A thin surface film is produced which consolidates and stabilises porous substrates. Dekguard E2000 is a crack-accommodating, water based protective coating based on a special acrylic polymer. Crack bridging : Up to 2mm Base : Water based APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Surface preparation :All substrates must be sound, clean, dry, smooth and free from protrusions, voids, honey-combs and high spots. Presence of curing agents, paint and oil will impair adhesion. Moss and lichen must be removed and area treated with proprietary fungicidal wash to kill spores and inhibit further growth. Following treatment wash area thoroughly with clean water and allow drying. Fillets must be provided at corners or sharp angles using 4:1 sand and cement mortar modified with a good quality bonding agent - FAIRCRETE SB(L). Priming : Priming is not normally required on good quality, well prepared substrates. Cracks : All shrinkage and non-structural cracks must be treated with not less than 1.5mm coating of WATERGUARD LIQUID MEMBRANE extending 75mm either side of the crack. Allow to cure overnight prior to general application. Application : WATERGUARD LIQUID MEMBRANE should be applied by brush to obtain a continuous unbroken film. Two coats are required with the second coat applied at right angles after the first coat has cured. WATERGUARD LIQUID MEMBRANE must be protected from mechanical damage during subsequent construction or backfilling works. Any damage may be repaired by spot application. If a water flood test is to be run, the membrane should cure for a minimum of 10 days. Whilst WATERGUARD LIQUID MEMBRANE is resistant to frost, adhesion will be impaired if applied to frosted substrates. Application should be avoided if substrate temperatures are below 5ºC or rain is imminent. Cleaning : Application equipment should be thoroughly cleaned after use with water. Spillages should be absorbed with sand, vermiculite or similar and be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. PACKING & COVERAGE WATERGUARD LIQUID MEMBRANE is supplied in 20 kg pails. The concrete or screed substrate has to be primed or levelled in order to achieve an even surface. ▪ ▪ High spots must be removed by e.g. grinding. All dust, loose and friable material must be completely removed from all surfaces before application of the product, preferably by brush and/or vacuum. 

GEOTEXTILE SURFACED SBS MODIFIED BITUMEN SELF ADHESIVE WATERPROOFING AND PROTECTION MEMBRANE Description Dr. Fixit Samshield PS is a SBS modified bituminous, self adhesive sheet membrane laminated onto a tough polyester fleece to provide a highly superior waterproofing and protection membrane for underground concrete structures. The self adhesive side protected with a silicone release film. A selvedge is provided on one side of the membrane to give a bitumen to bitumen contact on the overlaps, thus restricting any water penetration through the laps. Typical Applications Due to its flexibility and presence of a tough and durable top surface, this membrane can be used as a direct substitute for protection boards where soft backfill is used. The general recommended guidelines for the application of the self adhesive waterproofing system are as follows: 1 SURFACE PREPARATION The surface shall be cleaned thoroughly of all contaminants like dust, traces of curing compound, oil and grease. All surface imperfections, protrusions, structurally unsound and friable concrete must be removed and repaired with a suitable concrete repair mortar. 2 PRIMING Apply Dr. Fixit Torchshield Primer @ 4-6 sq.mtrs./litre to a clean, smooth and dry surface by brush or roller. Allow the primer to dry prior to the application of the membrane. As the viscosity of the primer is low, it easily penetrates into the concrete pores which promote the adhesion between the membrane and the concrete surface. In addition to that the primer also acts as a binder for the dust which gets accumulated on the concrete surface even after cleaning

TECHREPEL SB is a single component silicone based clear water repellent available in solvent based (SB) grade. Techrepel SB is recommended for a “Hydrophobisation” (water repellency) of facades.  Damage to façade is always due to moisture, rain and surface water. Salt water damage occurs in porous building materials, only when moisture is present. The sources of saltation are deicing salts, rising dampness and reaction between the binder used in façade materials and paints. In addition to that, building materials have an inherent salt content. The moisture transports this salts to the surface of the substrate where it crystallizes out. Salts are not only deposited on the surface but it also causes hydration and crystallization pressure. This built up finally led to embrittlement and crumbling away of the surface. Acid rain i.e. sulphuric acid is a by product in the form of sulphur dioxide by burning of industrial fuels, bound to particle of dust and droplets of water, and is the primary cause for corrosion. Sulphuric acid reacts with the carbonates, the binder in mortars, lime washes, concrete, stones etc. The resultant formation is gypsum, which has a greater volume and generates bursting forces.  Attack by moss and microorganisms such as fungi and algae which are the consequences of protected wetting of façade surfaces. The mentioned facade damages can be diminished by impregnation with water repellant agents. The main aim of this is to form “hydrophobic” or dry zone on the surface. The dry zones are not ideal for biotopes mosses, fungi, algae.  The silicon molecules of Techrepel SB do not clog the pores and so the surface retains its permeability to water vapour and “breathes”. Therefore treated buildings do not suffer from condensation damage. Buildings treated with Techrepel SB may absorb very little water and can release it again readily in dryer conditions. 

MASTEROL-WD-3 is a chemical mould release agent available in emulsified and concentrated form. The chemical reactive compound in MASTEROL-WD-3 provides superior mould releasing properties for moulds & formworks. Directions for Use:

·          Surface must be dry and free of contaminants, including previously applied sealers, dirt, lime & hard water deposits, efflorescence, rust & other heavy dirt and grime.

·          Clean the surface with ample water or with suitable cleaners.

·          Once the area has completely dried, proceed with the sealing of the surface for water and stain resistance.

·          Apply StoneShield Solv to the entire surface also covering the grout with a paint brush. Any excess sealer that gets on the surface should be wiped off with a clean towel before it dries. Be careful not to allow the sealer to puddle or dry.

·          Repeat the above step for a second coat of the sealer. Please note that if the first coat is applied properly very less material will be required in the second coat.

·          Light buffing may be required to even-out/remove the excess sealer and wipe of the brush marks if any.

·          Avoid traffic on the surface for 24-72 hours. In case, traffic is unavoidable, cover the surface with a porous cloth or mattress.
